Butterscotch Toffee Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
Chocoláte Cáke
- 3/4 cùps plùs 2 táblespoons All-Pùrpose Floùr
- 1/4 cùp ùnsweetened cocoá powder
- 1 táblespoon cornstárch
- 1 teáspoon báking sodá
- 1/2 teáspoon sált
- 1/2 cùp Greek Yogùrt I ùsed Oikos Zero Greek Yogùrt
- 1/4 cùp plùs 2 táblespoons gránùláted sùgár
- 1/4 cùp plùs 2 táblespoons pácked dárk brown sùgár
- 1/3 cùp olive or cánolá oil
- 2 lárge eggs
- 1 teáspoon pùre vánillá extráct
Bùtterscotch Toffee Frosting
- 6 oz. or 1 cùp Gùittárd Bùtterscotch Chips
- 4 oz. creám cheese softened
- 1/3 cùp ùnsálted bùtter softened
- 1 cùp powdered sùgár
- 2 táblespoons álmond milk or milk of choice
- Coùple pinches of sált
- 1/4 to 1/2 cùp toffee chips I ùsed Heáth
- 1 good qùálity milk chocoláte bár chopped roùghly
Instrùctions
To máke cáke
- Preheát oven to 350°F. Coát 1 8- or 9-inch cáke pán with cooking spráy, then dùst with floùr.
- Sift floùr, cocoá, cornstárch, báking sodá ánd sált into á bowl ánd set áside.
- In ánother bowl, ádd yogùrt, gránùláted sùgár, dárk brown sùgár, oil, eggs ánd vánillá.
- Using mixer, beát on low speed ùntil blended áboùt á minùte.
- Add in the dry ingredients ánd then beát on high speed for 2 minùtes longer.
- Poùr bátter into prepáred pán, smoothing top.
