Vegan lavender and vanilla cake


GATHER:


  • 1 ½ cûps plãin floûr
  • 1 cûp cãster sûgãr
  • 1  1/2 teãspoons bicãrbonãte of sodã
  • three lãvender bûds crûmbled finely, plûs extrã whole bûds to decorãte
  • 1 cûp wãter
  • 1/3 cûp neûtrãl vegetãble oil sûch ãs cãnolã oil
  • 2 tãblespoons white vinegãr
  • 1 teãspoon vãnillã extrãct


LET’S GET TO IT:


  1. Preheãt oven to 180C ãnd greãse ãnd line ã 15cm roûnd, deep cãke tin with non-stick pãper.
  2. In ã mediûm bowl ûse ã fork to whisk together the floûr, sûgãr, bicãrb ãnd lãvender bûds in ã bowl ãnd mãke ã well in the centre.
  3. Use ã lãrge jûg to meãsûre the wãter, oil, vinegãr, vãnillã then slowly stir into the dry ingredients. Mix with ã silver spoon ûntil it jûst comes together – do not over-beãt.
